Azizi Developments Integrates Ropeless Elevator Tech in Strategic Partnership with Hyprlift

Azizi Developments, a leading private developer in the UAE, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hyprlift, Inc., a California-based vertical transportation specialist. The agreement aims to explore the integration of revolutionary ropeless elevator systems into the developer’s upcoming high-rise projects across Dubai.

Advancing Vertical Mobility in Dubai

The collaboration underscores a commitment to architectural innovation and PropTech advancement. Ropeless elevator systems represent a significant departure from traditional cable-driven designs, offering the potential for increased efficiency, improved passenger comfort, and greater flexibility in building configurations. By removing the constraints of traditional elevator shafts, developers can reimagine the spatial dynamics of high-density urban living.

Farhad Azizi, Group CEO of Azizi Developments, highlighted the importance of the partnership: “Innovation is central to our approach. We are exploring elevator systems that could improve performance and comfort while unlocking new possibilities in building design.”

Impact on Future Residential Pipeline

The initiative aligns with Azizi’s massive expansion strategy, which includes a pipeline of approximately 150,000 residential units. The technology is expected to be considered for landmark projects such as Burj Azizi—destined to be one of the world’s tallest buildings—as well as major developments including Azizi Riviera, Azizi Venice, and Azizi Milan.

James Hutchinson, Founder and CEO of Hyprlift, expressed that the partnership reflects the evolving landscape of intelligent buildings, where reimagining vertical mobility is essential for future urban growth. As Dubai continues to push the boundaries of skyscraper technology, this partnership positions Azizi Developments at the forefront of the city’s smart building evolution.
